Legacy Property is proposing to rezone a site in Orchard Hills North, located within the Penrith Local Government Area, an area of around 152 hectares. Place Design Group has prepared an open space strategy to support the planning proposal and provides a holistic vision for open space provision totalling over 15 hectares.

amongst rolling hills in the rich
natural landscape of Western
Sydney and offering panoramic
views to the Blue Mountains
and surrounding areas.
The open space strategy includes recommendations for the distribution and facilities of passive and active spaces, play spaces, sportsfields and an active transport network within the Master Plan area. The plan also looks at furniture, public art and street tree planting recommendations that maximise tree canopy coverage.
A key consideration was the active transport loop (a 5km network of active linear space that connects key areas of the site and provides access to surrounding landmarks). This key feature of the
development will bring significant health and recreation benefits and better connect the community to open spaces.
